Hello Markus and group,

Many thanks for that - I have nc3f4 running on my notebook PC now. All that is missing now is an extra "sound-input" utility for the SDR-IQ (which I use for listening on 136 and 500 kHz). SDR-IQ (and also Perseus, which is due to arrive here soon) use non-standard sampling rates, but I am sure your SMPSU-noise-reduction algorithm can work with that, too. Will let you and the group know the results.

BTW Does the GM4ISM grabber use your utility, too ? There seems to be less garbage around 506 kHz than there used to be ;-)

Cheers,
 Wolf DL4YHF .

Dear LF,

as our LF and MF receiving is often plaguesd by intense hash from various switch mode power supplies, I have tried to work towards a software noise canceller, using estimation and subtraction. A short description of the technique, along with free experimental software and sourcecode, can be found on http://members.aol.com/df6nm2/smps_nc/NC3F4.zip (63 kB). Hope you may find it useful...

Kind regards
