Looking to replace the guy ropes on my vertical mast , the blue polyprop is showing signs of over exposure to the sun and starting to fray I'm wondering if the 'kevlar' type of ropes would be suited, as the mast is a radiating element ? But as far as I know, the rope conducts electrically, which would not be a good material to have in the saturation field of the element How conductive is the 'rope' ? is it just a leakage or a full low ohm situation ? Tnx - G .. |
