Hello Walter,

thanks for the report.
My 500kHz setup is very experimental. As the UK NoV's may expire by the end of February 2008 I wanted to be QRV asap and make some QSO's.
The PA is a modified 137kHz PA but efficiency is very bad (40 %) and thus the PA gets very hot what forces me to keep transmissions short.
Also at this moment I have only 1 antenna, the 500kHz antenna and this one is deaf on HF (as expected). So no xband for the moment.
Next week will be very busy, so I won't be QRV nor have time to do some changes.
After that I will try to build a proper 500kHz transmitter and hang up some wire for xband.
I am tempted by Jim's 500 kHz TX design and will try to adapt it for higher power (400 Watt) in order to get my ERP in the 1..3 Watt range.
That should give me a solid signal all over Europe and maybe allow some DX.

Dear Rik,
your signal was mostly audible here in JN59NO, when you made the QSO´s with G3XVL and GW4HXO. Peak was S5 with the meter, that is 95µV. Heard G3XVL for a short time.
I called you on 3533kHz  for several times. Hw abt QSX?
