Hello All.
After a stumbling start I should be back on 500kHz early next week after a
rebuild of my driver board to use with the PA that Chris G3XIZ kindly built
for me. If all goes well I should be putting about 600mA into my doublet
connected as a "T".

It looks like MF and LF acty has just about fizzled out. The reflector has
gone the same way, no discussion or observations. LF declined a long time
ago bar a couple of dedicated stations that keep plugging away. MF has not
even been going a year yet in the UK and only about four stations are really
active.
The effort on these low bands certainly does not justify the work involved,
special antennas and transmitters.
On the other hand 160m is going strong both local and dxing plus all the
other hf bands.
With so few stations mode diversifications does not help, all using
different modes and very little real communications taking place. The only
consistant activity is those stations using CW. This applies mostly to 500
khz, and this band is not attracting big numbers because the TX has to be
home built, antennas take up a good amount of space, that most amateurs do
not have and good CW operating is an advantage, all of which most cannot
fulfill.
Except there is some miracle around the corner the whole thing will just
fizzle out.
