Dear LF Group,
Thanks for the reports from last night, Including my first 500kHz report
from Poland via SQ7MPJ. The beacon will be running again tonight from
2200utc with the same settings as before (503.800kHz, WOLF 20 mode)
Cheers, Jim Moritz

Hi Jim, LF group
It was another evening/night of successful reception of your WOLF 20
bit rate transmission.
just to save space i 've confined my all screens to the latest one
including date and time(utc)
and number of necessary iterations to get a correct copy:
2008-01-23 00:49:49 >WOLF20 -r 11025 -f 600 -t 2 -w 0.0000

my RX setup is exactly the same as described in one of my previous posts
with reception report
of DJ8WX beacon on 137 kHz except changed coils in LC resonating
circuits.
when the WOLF transmission was in a '10 bit' mode i got negative copy
though i have tried only once
and only one hour or so, therefore , there is no statistics needed for
any reasonable conclusion,
However, at least one observation can be made from my point of view. due
to my absolutely modest antennae conditions
with respect to 137 a 500 kHz ( a small loop inside a noisy
environment) the WOLF seems to be a 'state-of-the-art" among
wide variety of weak signal ( and narrow band) modulations. in fact it
is ! with its lowest S/N positive 'detection'.
many times i tried to get a copy of G stations TX'ing in different
modulations once i even traced Mal, KEV using his favourite
i.e normal CW speed [ :) ] on 502.5 KHz but i never succeeded in correct
copy of any modulation from a transmitting G station until
recent Jim's transmissions. ( the qrb is 1350 km) So, my proposal is
to put for a day or two another extremely weak signal 'technique'
i.e JT2 or JT4 mode in a beaconing fashion. Ok, i know that for most
of you it will not be necessary to use the 'bottom-line' and sometimes
plain CW will suffice to make a qso on LF,MF bands but for me to get
that far as G looks like a real TA challenge, hi.
BTW , which G station operates qrss in a beacon mode on 600 meters?
