Congratulations Ken and welcome aboard!

Yes the end date is 29th Feb for us all, unless (fingers, toes and
everything else crossed) we can get an extension (and power increase?).

You've got on just at the right time, with autumn/winter conditions
starting, the nights drawing in and the window of suitable propagation
increasing day by day.

What are you thinking of using as TX, RX and antenna? Modes?

Have you heard any signals yet on the band? You're in Luton so there
should be plenty of local signals for you to hear/work. I'm a bit ore
remote - up in Shetland! - so have to struggle to hear/be heard.

Best of luck
Please feel free to ask as many questions as you want, it's a steep
learning curve down on 500, but great fun if you like getting your hands
dirty and your soldering iron hot!

Cheers,
