Ok David

I would have done more copies it was the one and only
shot at getting it, your signal here is very good I can copy off the speaker very well. OK I thought the two parallel lines were a narrow band rtty the spacing look right so that answers why I could not resolve it. PSK31 will work ok on 500 may be not dx but general contacts. I guess I need to make a transverter currently only run straight cw. been looking at narrow rtty as a possibility using the current xtal rig.

Oh,  those funny symbols at start and end of the PSK31 message are really quotes I put in but came out wrong!

QTH is 3 to 4 miles north of the centre of Hitchin north Herts IO91UX. Using Multipsk S/Ware. Probably 70 km north of you.

It is an interesting beacon in that it carries different modes (I have yet to resolve the NB RTTY). Oh and BTW this is the PSK31 I am getting David J

Hello Pete.

Well, that's not bad!  The text has just missed the  ea in beacon and the ao  in aol.com.
Presumably these appear if you copy it a few times.

The "narrow band RTTY" is actually a series of phase reversals to lock the receiver to the PSK31 transmission.  So, If you have the CW QRS and PSK......then you have them all.

Best reception of the PSK31 so far is Ipswich.  Not sure how your QTH compares. I'll check with one of the locator square distance programs.

Typically the PSK is OK for 80km    CW  to 300km  but the QRS is  good to 700km+

Many Thanks
