Best way ,
just pug a 'good' USB card into the pc , will show up as a usb-device and
have the advantage of being on the end of a long wire .which you can wrap
round a ferrite block .
Fo the 'tx' gang, when your 'earth rf level' exceeds the safe level for the
computing equipment ...chances are , you will only take out the usb card ..
and not the motherboard .. use a pci/usb card for added feel good factor ...
I still use my intel p111 1.1 Ghz motherboard to this day ... but with a
pci sound card :-( ....

Hi John,
I would expect a second sound card to work ok as XP will certainly support
2 cards to run simultaniously if not more. Cards cost so little it's not a
lot to spend if doesn't work. You can of course use the mic input on the
exsisting card but it will require some input attenuation.

Subject: LF: A second soundcard
I have a HP Pavilion Media Center a1620.fr Desktop PC running XP. I would
like to use it to decode QRSS and other signals. The existing soundcard
is used for dictation (and it doesn't seem to have a line input, only
microphone).
HP tell me that I cannot have two soundcards running at once in this
computer. They say I can have two soundcards installed, but whenever I am
using one, the other must be inactive.
Has anyone any comments, please?
