Sorry your receiving tests were marred by interference.

It sounds very much like the same noise I see when the TV is on in the
house. A strong carrier (harmonic of the timebase) somewhere around
501kHz surrounded by a comb of spectral lines every 100Hz spreading
right through the "band" and beyond.
