Dave, Yes, I was really trapped! The refresh button on aol didn't work even
though it uses IE . In the end I had to open a new IE browser
window. Then when I typed in Alan's site it opened the latest
version.

Means he is using IE... other browsers have decent cache
management
and never suffer from that problem. Opera always checks for a
new
version of the page on the server (unless you access it within 5
hours after the last time, when you need to do a refresh).
And I
never understand why IE sets a default cache size of 10% or so
of your
disk space, totally unnecessary now we are all on broadband.
