Hi Alan,I have downloaded the new version ERP2 & it will not run correctly with my MS EXCEL, also tried to open it on the web site & still no joy, my previous version on my PC still runs OK. 73 Gary - G4WGT - IO83qp----- Original Message ----- From: "Alan Melia" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, April 29, 2007 6:33 PM Subject: LF: 500 ERP calculation Spreadsheet Hi All, this geriatric ol' twit made another mistake !! Thanks to PeterG3VVT who bother to check my answers again Kraus ( I cant argue against that!!) another small error has surfaced. It is to do with the "form-factor" which should have been squared because it refers to the real height of the vertical which is squared in the equation for Radiation Resistance. As ithappens it make a very small difference to most people who have a top lengthof equal or greater than the height because then the FF is close to unity( and unity squared is unity !!) However I did issue another sheet to a fewwho were working with no top load, it is on aerials like this the error ismost relevant. Fortunately it reduces the Radiation resistance and allow youto run even more aerial current before exceeding the -10dBW !! The new version is now loaded to my web site http://www.btinternet.com/~alan.melia/programs.htm And I will add a reference to enable the other version (ERP2.xls) to be downloaded. Sorry pardon, just crank the current up a bit !! Cheers de Alan G3NYK |
