Hi Jeff, I dont think we are totally sure of DCF39 although it is very
stable.....Markus DF6NM is likey to have the best reading for it. Loran-C is
cesium controlled so it a very good marker in the band. The "sidebands" can
be easily calculated to 1mHz. I have a program written by Andy G4JNT
specifically for Lessay which will calculate all the lines in a selected
frequency interval. Loran is only really useful when you know where you are
to about + / - 1Hz. The irregular spacing does help to identify which lines
you can see. The trick often is to look at the interval between the lines
(Andy's program tabulates these )

Best Wishes de Alan G3NYK

Hello LFers!

To calibrate the LF receiver i would like to know the exact frequency of
the DCF39 transmitter( MARK). Is 138830.000 Hz OK?
Would anybody help me?

Thanks in advance and 73

Jeff / F6CWN
