Wolf, Per Markus' suggestion, I tried setting the transmit for 16 bit, and the audio levels are fine. Since we aren't writing big .wav files, that's no problem. I believe that Stewart's version will accept 11025 Hz as a command line argument. Again, if we will be working from live audio, there is no issue about saving file space by using the 8000 Hz rate.
