John, That's a better signal than the night before. conditions were better last night. Joe's and Warren's signals were visible on a QRSS3 screen. There was an early fade in ~2210z and signals were nearly stable during the night. WOLF found the signal in 192 seconds, though it took longer to decode. The fading can't have been too bad, as the signal power builds steadily as each segment is summed in. I've had much worse copy over shorter distances. The 15 characters got through in 8 minutes. If only we didn't have to put up with the record/playback process! The encoded file was the first portion I took from a 10 hours recording. I'ii try some other parts of the recording later tonight. I can run this again tonight, if anyone wants to give it a try. I run 1 rx still on 137.442 kHz 73 Hartmut |
