This evening my low power testbeacon has been received by Klaas, PA0KDM over an distance of 43km. It was quite exciting to hear my own beacon back over the telephone! I was running around 40Watts output and too much Watt input :-( (It's an bad efficiency amplifier.......) Next days I'll use to improve my ground; during the test I was running an 80cm long 1 inch copper tube only..... 73! Dick, PA4VHF |
