Subject: LF: VO1NA on QRSS3
Excellent DX conditions when I switched on this morning.
VO1NA's QRSS30 could easily be read with Argo switched
to QRSS3. Propagation seemed completely stable for over
an hour and a complete callsign was recorded.
Ideal conditions for a QSO, if only EU stations were being
received anything like as well across the pond. Is this an
ERP issue, I wonder?
Its not a problem. I had several xband QSO'S a couple of years ago with the
USA stns and VE1ZJ and ZZ. I was TX on 137 khz and the Transatlantic stns
replied on 7025 khz CW. VE1ZJ copied my sigs at 1sec dot solid. At that time
there was no one TXING from the W/VE on LF otherwise I would have made a QSO
with both on LF.
Its a question of getting the act together for a QSO. I can RX all the
Transatlantic signals at present and a QSO is certainly possible if anyone
was really making an effort.
At present I am not TXING on LF, I have diverted my attention to 160 m
dxing.
The beacon business is going nowhere, same old thing night after night.
