Hello Ed and Rich,

Implementing a fast CW keyer with all the goodies such as variable speed, memo etc.. is not a simple task. So far I stayed away from this as I believed that there is plenty of fast CW software available and there is no need of re-inventing the wheel.

A much simpler task however is to change the configuration of the LPT (or COM) port in QRS, to make it identical to DX4WIN or whatever is your favorite fast CW software.
Just let me know what pins are used (for key and for PTT) ...

Good idea. I have 2 interfaces build (for CW and also for QRSS) and switched
by LPT switch. For CW I'm using internal keyer from logging program DX4WIN
and QRSS with QRS (ON7YD). Problem is that both are working on LPT, but
intrefaces are not identical.

Btw, all HW is ready for expedition to the 135m high tower, weather is very
good, snow is melting away. We will be QRV direct from PI-match under the
antenna.

Subject: LF: Key in QRS??

Dear Rik,

I for a field/DXpedition conditions should carry an external electronic key
or ordinary key for realization CW QSOs. Such external key to me should be
connected to TX.

It would be convenient to have a key(from PC's keyboard) in QRS.
A keyboard's key in the program have all contest-programs.
Hot key is standart: ALT-K for enable/disable keyboard CW mode and
open/close small window, and ALT-V for set(Vary) CW speed.
All external connections PC - TX already are in PC(QRS)- TX

Whether probably such to add internal keyboard's key in next QRS's
versions and under same interface (as for QRSS) via COM/LPT?

TNX for QRS!

P.S. Do you received my special QSL-card?
