Subject: LF: Freq wobble

I've seen similar wobbles in GPS-disciplined standards. The fundamental
gradually drifts off then the GPS software algorithm slowly pulls them
in again. How often and how far depends on the programming....
Dear Walter, LF Group,
It's a bit of a big wobble - 0.5Hz at 137kHz amounts to about 4 parts
per million, so I definitely wouldn't recommend that particular model of
frequency standard if that is the case!

I could not see any sign of it here in Brookmans Park. Perhaps it could
be an intermod between a stable and an unstable signal at higher
frequencies - or perhaps it could be a low-level birdie inside the RX
from the digital stuff there - do G3LDO and G3YXM use the same rig?

Cheers, Jim Moritz
