Dear LFers, if you have run out of LF signals and still want a weak signal challenge, I have put a temporary DFCW beacon on 80m. Details: Format: DFCW10, 2Hz shift Dit frequency: 3500,000.993 Hz (say 3,500,001 Hz...) Dah frequency: 3500,003.004 Hz (say 3,500,003 Hz...) Power: +2dBm output (1.6 mW) Antenna: Dipole, 10m up Message: SM6LKM <5-character codeword> The frequency is GPS disciplined and should be accurate to 1e-10 or better. The DFCW timing, however, is controlled by a PIC processor clocked by a simple piece of rock. Reports are welcome! 72 Johan Bodin SM6LKM |
