Dear LFers, my weak signal beacon has moved to 40m and will remain there until a few hours after sunset. I will let you know when it goes QRT. Details: Format: DFCW10, 2Hz shift Dit frequency: 7,099,997,000 Hz Dah frequency: 7,099,999,012 Hz Power: +2dBm output (1.6 mW) Antenna: Dipole, 10m up Message: SM6LKM <5-character codeword> Frequency accuracy: Sufficient. The upper band edge on 40m is often quite clean because the european QRO op's do not (well, seldom...) tune their dials above 7.100. They use LSB so there is not much QRM between 7099.7 and 7100.0 kHz (corresponding to 300..0 Hz in the voice band). Reports are welcome! 72 Johan Bodin SM6LKM |
