Hi Jim M0BMU/ Laurie G3AQC/ Dave G3YXM,

Heard the three of you at good strength this morning on 73kHz but no sign of
Ian GI0AYZ.

08-00 UTC G3AQC (RST589) in QSO with M0BMU (RST579)

08-25 UTC G3YXM (RST579) calling GI0AYZ (NR)

08-30 UTC G3YXM in QSO with M0BMU both RST579

All signals had relatively low QRN/QRM apart from a bit of local electrical
crud and a weak fluttery carrier on 71.95 kHz which may have been a RX
front-end intermod artifact.
The antenna was an ex-Decca active antenna with only a 3ft whip up at only
20ft AGL feeding the prototype of Jim's LF preamp/upconverter outputting at
4MHz into the FT1000MP - the converter is doing a good job Jim!

I have finally got my 55ft wind-up aluminium scaffold pole mast back up in
the air again after the LF antenna system was wrecked during a storm earlier
this year. The 20m high tree tree holding one end of the antenna came
crashing down taking with it the top section of the 55ft mast and all the
guy ropes 150ft away at the far end of the garden because the 3-wire top
didn't break!

I hope to be QRV shortly again on 136kHz and also hopefully 73kHz.
