thing
has had recently, but my TX is out of commission pending the arrival of
some
new BUZ900 and BUZ905 Mosfets. Will post again when repairs and tests have
been perpetrated.

Ian, by the time you fix that old beast you could build a robust YXM OR MRF
hi power mosfet amp that would virtually be impossible to ZAP.
I built a YXM type with some mods some years ago and it is still going
strong and no blown fets.
I use 4 x 75N10 devices ie each one 75 amps at 100 volts. I use about 16
volts and they run just warm. Its the same story with the old Decca Jeep, by
the time you modify it by rewinding coils and constructing the relay
switching etc you could build a custom tx at about the same power out in far
less time.
