One other thing that crashed early Spectran was if I ran the audio input a little too high...hanging into the red region too much. It would first cause the fan in the laptop to kick in, indicating I suppose, that the processor was being stressed and having trouble keeping up with the program...and then it would crash.
Does it crash only when you are running in screen capture 'activated' mode? There might be a clue there if so.
