It would be helpful if you could let us know _how_ your PSU problem destroyed that Decca unit. Did your PSU provide a voltage higher than 67 volts DC? 73 André Oh, yes, the highly protected commercial (ex-telecom) PSU oscillated and produced over 100V. It is a tribute to the design of the Decca units that the damage was relatively trivial. The smoke was spectacular, though, and smelled horrible.
