Apparently this happens whenever Windows is in 256 colour mode, which I
sometimes choose to speed up Spectrogram. To solve the problem, you can
either switch your display to True Color (desktop right mouse on
..properties..), or tell Argo to capture .bmp rather than .jpg files.

Tomorrow morning I will perform some tests based on this information.
I use exclusively the 16-million color mode, as with today's graphics cards it
seems
that there is no performance gain going lower in color resolution. And both
Spectran and Argo have been designed with this in mind. As a matter of fact,
I was forced to add some bandaids here and there to support, somehow, the
256-color mode, as some users are fond of this mode.... it seems that one of
those
bandaids isn't strong enough...
