Alberto,I am not an expert here, but if I wanted to compare signals over a period of time, I would think it necessesary to establish a reference level say from a signal generator.This would include all the elements in the chain including the reciever.So if a ref. level is established in this way, clicking on this first and then on the unknown signal would determine the difference in db as you suggest.
