Saturday 17 July
Got up early (0540UTC). Pleased to find no local QRM and no
QRN. Conditions good, too. Received seven mainland Eu stations
before my first G!
CW contacts with: PA0SE (gave 579; got 569 - best ever report
from Dick); HB9ASB (gave 329, missed my report! - would have
been my best normal CW DX if the QSO had been valid); DJ5DI
(439, 329 - a new one for me and my first DL using normal CW);
G3YXM (599, 589).
QRSs contact with DK8KW (O/O). His first G QSO. This is a
classic example of LF operation - the two of us trying to work for
several weeks and managing it after improvements at both ends.
Parts of the QSO can be seen on two Spectrograms on my web
site, and Spectrogams on his site show how my signal has
improved in recent weeks.Called by someone very weak at the end
of this QSO - got my callsign 100% but QRM came up and I
missed his call. Does anyone know who this was?
Heard: DF2PY (569); G4GVC (599)
Saw QRSs on Spectrogram screen from IK5ZPV (O); DJ5BV (O
and audible at S2).
Sunday 18 July
Another quiet morning. QRN later.
Heard: DF2PY (579); G3YXM (5 9+10 9); G0MRF (599); G3BDQ
(599); G4GVC (599); G6RO 559.
Saw QRSs from: DJ5BV (O and audible at S2); DK8KW (O and -
just- audible at S1).
No QSOs.
