Looks like Stefan's carrier was back on 6470.005 today from 8:40 to 13:40 UT. I have stacked a few coils again, and since 13:30 I'm running a carrier on 6469.9975 Hz with 0.21 A. Trying to see whethe
Looks to be about 0.06 fT here, but not significant against the noise floor in one hour integration. If you can run for 3 hours it could show up well. For comparison, Stefan's (nighttime) 6470 signal
Stefan today is averaging 0.25 fT and 25.8 dB S/N in 69.4 uHz. After 3 hours, 0.06 fT with S/N 12.3 dB in 92.6 uHz. Sure, no problem... From today's daytime signals DK7FC on 6470.0050, 09:00 to 13:00
My carrier was on air from 13:30 until 20:35 UT. It is well visible on Stefan's east-west loop, apparently with more favourable daytime propagation compared to 8.27 kHz. Unfortunately no clear trace
Averaged 0.06 fT, S/N 13.0 dB in 39.7 uHz, phase -88.6 degrees. Not bad for 1028 km at 6470 Hz, and I suppose about 5 or 10uW ERP? Here is 4 hours of Stefan's signal yesterday http://abelian.org/vlf/
Just goes to show that, although it's hard to radiated more than a few uW at VLF, a little power goes a long way at those frequencies. Perhaps it encourages others to have a go. Understood. I expect
Hi Markus, A big signal here, 16 dB SNR in 424 uHz. That gives an impression how well you could see me if there would be no local QRM on your side... 73, Stefan Am 14.04.2017 15:52, schrieb Markus Ve
Hello Paul, Jim, VLF, Very nice, thanks for the spectrum peak plot! It looks like the daytime offers a better SNR on that 46 km band on our distance, at least when QRN is low, and it was quite low du

That's a shame, it would have been a good decode. Tried the decoder anyway, but not enough signal received. Perhaps if we had 2 hours it would have been enough. -- Paul Nicholson --
Hi Paul & All, Since Storm Doris trashed my antennas, I have just got around to re-installing my Mini-Whip, although not very high. I started SpecLab running this afternoon with a 1mHz 600 sec VLF us
