A quick report of very modest progress on this side of the pond -- the new coil is behaving itself quite well and is not arcing. A low power test this afternoon yielded audible CW at 0.9km (!) on 827

VO1NA to Todmorden is a mere 3544.9 km if I've got Joe's location correct as 47.7730122N 52.7039757W There's a fair chance to detect 20uW in a long (overnight) integration. -- Paul Nicholson --

I don't know where I got those coordinates from, maybe a QRA converted to lat/long. But it plots in the sea, close to Torbay but too far for the antenna feed to reach. Looking forward to that. The we

Hi Paul, Looking forward to that. The west end of the antenna getting a bit tarnished and covered with cobwebs, while the east end is clean and shiny. What's your ERP at the moment with the new coil?
