Ive been faced with similar problems over the years and especially when audio in and out rates differ. I know very little save using a couple of simple utilities to at least demonstrate what I have i

Dear Graham, LF Group, If an error in sample rate was causing the error in the transmission timing, it would also lead to an error of the same percentage in the audio frequencies being generated duri

OK, I seem to have got WSJT sussed, and it is working. It seems to auto calibrate for the sound card, I have done nothing and the two numbers in the bottom right hand are both close to 1... 192803 14

Dear Dave, AC 97 (http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/ac97_r23.pdf ) specifies 48kHz as the basic, obligatory sample rate for compliant sound cards, so yours should certainly be

Dave, The deviation of the actual sampling rate from the nominal (8000, 11025, etc.) have always been an issue for low bit-rate sound card modes. The newer schemes may produce wider excursions, but t

I had a quick play with WSJT7. But it looks as if WSPR was an add on to the original program, its implementation is a bit basic and the GUI totally different from the separate WSPR program. 1. The ba

My Dell Inspiron Laptop, when  11025Hz sampling rate is requested, actually gives 10800Hz (near enough) which was enough to completely kill JT4 decoding.  (JT4 is a WSJT mode, not totally unlike WSPR
