Hi Tony, It probably depends how far away the detector was you need to be about 1km out for certain results. Alan same. they ground. Gibson electrode of on is they

I will try that tomorrow Mal, but I'm almost sure it's bi-directional anyway. The Spanish station to my south would have been endfire and Bristol to my east would have been backfire. Tony, EI8JK On 1

Hi Alan. Last week I hooked up my sig genny to the loop and the maximum signal was at right angles to the wire, so I was expecting receive to be the same. Seems not. Tony, EI8JK Alan G3NYK Yesterday

Tony Unterminate(remove) the earth rods from the wires and see if you get bi-directional properties, if so it would indicate a Beverage configured system. Some Earth type antennas described on here b

Hi Tony, why do you think the directivity is wrong? It looks as though they are operating like loops with the majority of the loop area in the ground. This is a fairly common appreciation of ground "

Actually : Two earths joined with insulated wires are not very safe in the vicinity of a ground strike , as are insulated 'long' radials .... with a typical rise of 250KAmps / micro-sec , 'strange' t
