Dear Dick, LF Group, High frequency stability is needed for long duration QRSS beacon transmissions with 60s dots, as you might use around 136.32kHz, so I should keep the crystal oscillator for that.

Ok thanks, hmmm unfortunatly I am a bit late in discovering this, as I already made the first part of an X-tal oscillator for 136.320kHz........ Well, I guess I have to start looking in my X-tal agai

Hi Dick I think Mike means that 136.320 should not be used for QRSS in daytime as it is in the area popular with inter Eu manual morse qsos. Good Luck with your weekend tests. Cheers de Alan G3NYK

Dick, For contacts within Europe, use 137.700 +/- 30Hz at QRSS3 (3 second dot length) or occasionally QRSS10. The lower frequency (136.320kHz +/- 2Hz) is for DX tests, mainly to North America, at nig
