25 years .. I was driving up and down to Hillend before that time , so that would explain , I thought when it was announced , there was a sense Ae , that must of been the one you mention > ,long time

I think the relays are locked to the main signal ( off air?), presume are in 'idle' with no ref to lock .... I know driving to Scotland, there is a area where the 198 signal is 'mushy'/'wobbly' as on

Dear LF Group, Whilst checking frequency calibration, I notice that the BBC R4 signal from Droitwich on 198kHz seems to be QRT at the moment. It appears to have been off since about 0700 this morning

As far as I know the three transmitters have rubidium standards and no phase locking. There was some mush area steering (receive loops at Pontop Pike near Newcastle) but this was disconnected some 25
