Hello Mike, DCF39 is transmitting a carrier with every 10 seconds or so a kind of "RTTY burst". That might be the gaps you're seeing. The 3 sec picture looks really nice, did you check if the signal

Hello Rik, I imagined at one point that I could hear data bursts. Unforunately I have strong power line carrier signals very close to the frequency which makes listening difficult. Mike ZL4OL

Dear Mike, LF Group, You could try DCF39's sister station (DCF49 I think) with mark frequency on 128.93kHz - It has the same format of transmitting a carrier on the mark frequency with FSK data burst
