Hi Chris - I built a linear PA for 136 kHz (I wanted it linear so as to run PSK31). It uses four bipolar output transistors (two MJ15003 and two MJ15004) in complement ary parallel/push-pull class AB

What circuits do they use? How do they ensure they are linear? What efficiency do they get?> My amp uses a darlington pair/PNP-NPN complementary arrangement - much like some early audio amplifiers. O

Well at least Markus, DF6NM, and myself (working at the club station DF0WD) can [Tx PSK]- using linear power amplifiers. So looking forward for the next weekend, though I am not very convinced to be

My question about linear amplifiers sparked some useful dialogue about eliminating the need for linears. If a new data mode is to be developed, it seems to me that two modes are needed. One for 'loca

Hi All Sorry if this lengthy message is a bit controversial but I feel I ought to comment on some of Mal's statements: Normal RTTY would not be acceptable on LF this has been discussed many times bef
