Hello Paul, Domenico, group. The VLF aerial was lowered Tuesday in
anticipation of a sleet storm and the LF tx was switched off yesterday
due to a mismatch caused by tower icing. The LF toploading has been on
the ground since being iced down on 17 April. The 'M' on the message
stands for 'monopole'.
It seems the durnal phase inversions have returned on VLF. I have not
seen this since autumn past. The carrier peak has been much weaker
than the sidebands at +-12 uHz on spectra from Paul's 8.27 kHz spectrograms.
If the tower survives tonight, the transatlantic LF and VLF serivce may
resume tomorrow. Thanks to all for the reports and detections.
