Conditions the past two nights have been the best of season for me
so far. It reminds me of the short peak (a few days) I had late last
winter that was never seen again. I wonder if it will be that way
this time... a bright flash and then gone.
Last night I received a single weak WSPR2 spot from I6/IW2NKE.
WSPRnet claims 6219 km. It is my first over 6000 km. What a lovely
Christmas present!
It is not really possible to compare reports between Europe and west
coast North America. Even the longest west coast path is shorter
than my shortest European path, but it seems I do better with the
mostly water path than the all land path.
I have been transmitting a mix of WSPR15 and WSPR2 for the past two
nights. I will continue that for another two nights, then we have
some bad weather coming in which will force a shut down. I might
discontinue WSPR15 after that break. There were only two WSPR15
reporting stations last night.
