This is what I captured overnight, with strips showing 20 UT (top left) to 2 UT (bottom right), and RDF colours swapped from blue to green for better visibility. The night wasn't too great here, with some local background noise from frosty railway lines. Dez 2018 16:58 Betreff: LF: DFCW test results Thanks to all who ran grabbers and sent screen shots during last night's test. This was an experiment to see how the little amplifier would hold up at 200+ watts output under higher duty cycle and to see whether my CW ID would be visible on grabbers. The amplifier did fine. Efficiency was down a little this morning because a big drop in temperature overnight drastically lowered the antenna system resistance. I didn't bother going outside to change taps on the transformer. I did not see any evidence of the CW ID even on grabbers where my signal was quite strong. Next time I run this test I will reduce the speed of the ID to see what happens. I am behind on email. I need to get a little sleep now so I will remain behind a bit longer. :) When I wake up I plan to make a few changes to the transmit converter. If successful, I hope to be QRV for JT9-1 and JT9-2 QSOs for the next few nights. No promises yet. If not successful the worst result could be a ded FET and a fuse. That's about $1.50 cost plus 20 minutes to repair, so I'm not worried about it... ;-) 73, Paul N1BUG
