Thanks Paul! Yes it was indeed the obvious message, and as far as I can see the transmission went out well. There were also some pieces of carrier before and after: 09:56 - 10:30: 8270.0025 Hz carrier (0°) 13:00 - 14:00: 8270.0025 Hz carrier (0°) 14:00 - 15:25:20: 8270.1 Hz PSK 15:25 - 15:40: 8270.1 Hz carrier (180°) 15:40 - 22:00: 8270.0025 Hz carrier (180°) Looking at the good midday dashes on fbins, I had indeed hoped for a decode in Todmorden. Maybe I should have sent the EbNaut message earlier in the day. The message did decode from DL0AO data. But EbN0 wasn't so great either, 1.3 dB from the E-field antenna and 5.0 dB from the west cardioid. The midday peaks in 424 uHz (*1.5 for Hann) showed about 16 and 18 dB SNR, which should have scaled to 6.6 and 8.6 dB EbN0. Of course the noise did go up in the afternoon here too. I wonder if Stefan could manage a decode in Heidelberg? Did the transmission go OK? The noise came up a bit but it doesn't decode even with nighttime blanker settings. If the message is the obvious message then it is down at -5.9 dB. -- Paul Nicholson -- |
