Hi Andy,

I have already had QRPP JT9 QSOs on 472kHz some years ago.  Want to see how FT8 performs by comparison. FT8 works well on 10m, 6m and 2m.
50Hz BW is fine by me. Yes, I know JT9 should be better. 15 sec periods are helpful.

Still trying to find the correct frequencies for FT8 on 472kHz! Any advice welcomed.

You would do better with JT9.    It has a narrower signalling bandwidth
Don't jump on the FT8 bandwagon just because everyone else is using it at HF

After the success last night on 472kHz WSPR (10mW ERP) with the earth-electrode "antenna" in the ground, I may try 472kHz FT8 this evening.

If you fancy a try please give me a call on FT8. I shall try 472kHz FT8 this evening probably after 1800z. I'll call CQ probably.
