An interesting, if obvious, thing I have noticed on 136kHz is as follows: G3XIZ (46km) shows a maximum variation in S/N of 3dB whereas 2E0ILY (209km) shows a variation of 14dB S/N. I assume propagation from 2E0ILY depends more on conditions than G3XIZ who is far closer. Gosh, this must seem so basic to the experts here!
