Hi Roger

It is typical that as soon as I make a recommendation the station in question goes silent last TX 10:30 to day.. He will I am sure be back.

The best way to check activity is by looking at the internet data base which updates within minutes of a transmission the URL was in my last posting.

Today I am busy with extracting bees wax a messy business which does not work well with radio gumming up the rig controls Hee So will not be active this week but don't give up.

Hi Roger
Don't be discouraged there are WSPR signals you can rx on 136kcs. Day time there is one UK stn 2e0ily very strong. These are my results using an antenna laying on the ground so an elevated wire of any height should get him OK. My RX is an old TS690s with no modifications on the RX side if you can hear the commercial data bursts either side of 136 you will get 2e0ily. Check all your attenuators are off you are in upper side band ssb your IF is set to normal ssb 2.5kcs to encompass the factory set 1.5kcs tone off set also check you have a 1.5kcs off set it may have got changed look in advanced settings to check. also monitor your and others spots on http://wsprnet.org/drupal/wsprnet/spots good luck 73 petefmt

Well, not surprisingly, not a single 136kHz WSPR spot last night with my deaf (at LF) RX and stupid antenna.

I tried, but I was not surprised.

Cheers

Well, just for fun (and a change) I am monitoring 136kHz WSPR with my poor antenna and deaf RX. There appear to be very few stations on 136kHz WSPR TX at the moment, so if I spot anyone I shall be pleased!

I hope to be on most of this evening and overnight. Late this evening I need to go QRT for a while to charge the shack PC. Most of the time it runs on battery power to lower the noise floor.

If you can get on 136kHz WSPR TX, I might spot you!
