FYI:The "DSX" satellite will carry a 0.5-0.9 kw, 3 to 50 kHz (pulsed?) VLF transmitter. Citation from: www.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/a531813.pdf :"...and a two week high-power VLF transmission campaign will occur near the end of the mission." End of life is planned at 12 months after launch and "Early Operations". As far as I understand the tx-antenna will be a 2x40m dipole.
