Well it's an exciting prospect, a VLF signal from Canada.
We'll be making every possible effort to receive you.

A GPS locked oscillator will make a huge difference, it's
probably worth nearly 20dB through being able to use
extremely narrow bandwidths.

I think that was on the Yahoo LF group, there doesn't seem to
be much VLF interest on there.

I don't expect your delta loop will work in the normal way
at VLF.  You'll probably have to drive it in common mode via
a loading coil so that it functions as a monopole.  Will it
stand up to 30kV or so?

Is there much interest in VLF in your part of the world John?
There's a very good receiver at Forest (near Lynchburg)
Virginia 37.35348N,79.19450W which you should be able to
reach without too much trouble.  It is on all the time
and records into a 20 day loop so you don't even need to
announce transmissions in advance.
