My regrets to those who were expecting another transmission last night --
the reflected power was bouncing around and the psp was uttering strange
grunts so the tx was shut off yesterday evening to avoid another burnt
halyard.
Thanks to Alex, Yuri and Markus for the outstanding reports. Conditions
seemed very favourable and the dst was stable and close to 0. Was this
your first audible reception, Markus?
On VLF, the tinkering continues. There have been no fried tuning coils
yet. Sorry Stefan for the delayed reply. The coils are 20 cm in diameter and
about 3 mm wide. They can be wound in a couple of minutes using
a drill press at 620 rpm.
