Hi all
Yea I am glad someone has admitted to the shack being too cold to do anything. I likewise have gone over there and frozen while cqing away on 630m with the inevitable result ..... zilch!.

I have been trying to get my 136 tx finished it is just too miserable to go down to the garage / WS and cut metal so its on the shelf. The sit rep is the Xtal osc and 4060 is made and running and the P/A Circuit board is built it now needs smoke testing and boxing so still 50% more work and its too cold to work out there.

How can 160m QSOs over a 1/2mile path be an issue????

Not heard you on 136 Ian have been monitoring all evening but was using my 80m dipole up 4m having said that can get a very strong sig from Mike in Welwyn with that set up. Oh just checked your mail time maybe not...

Hello Ian,

I'm giving radio a complete rest for a few days.
My shack was only 5C this morning and I've still got 24/7 QRM

I've also suggested to Dennis that we pack up the Top Band A.M. net as it's too hard going these days - maybe have one on 2m instead.

Catch you in a day or two.
