Thread-topic: | Re: Induction hobs on MF/LF |
Hi All I have neighbours on both sides with induction hobs and not found these to be an issue at a range of about 20m or so. It may be that horror stories have resulted from someone who had a cheap one, though I'm not aware of many "cheap ones"! The two in my neighbours' houses are by NEFF. Since the demise of the plasma screens and their replacement by LED TVs I've notice a slight drop in overall RF noise generated locally. The biggest culprits are cheap chinese clones of higher power (>90W) laptop psus especially the sort equipped with bright blue annular LEDs around the power jack or on the casing. When under "load" and charging a flat battery while running the laptop then these can generate s8 hash with little difficulty. Dell original units aren't too bad but finding the real genuine articles are hard work. PSU's < 90W aren't as bad and sub 60W units for smaller laptops are relativly benign.
