John, Jay,   advice on Hafler's

Chris (G3XIZ)  general mentoring, provision of much kit, coils and components

Dave Pick.  - advice on interstage mini-amps -repeatedly due to me losing emails

Mal G3KEV,  - badgering, goading, encouraging and v. good advice on antennae and IC706 interfacing

Jim Moritz (back in the early days)  - a patient email tutor of basic theory, VNA interpretation, ferrites and monitoring

Roger G3XBM,  - advice and guidance as well as spots and ideas on VLF to MF

Stefan,  - a great spreadsheet and the "one to beat"!

Graham ,  - mentor, guide and email encourager

Peter M0FMT,  - local wise owl

the late Peter Dodd and Laurie Mayhead  - sales of kit that got me into the madness of "worm warming"

The challenge is now  - can I do 6000km then up to 10,000km.

 

All with a fairly basic set up and somewhat "Heath Robinson" and "improvised" as G3XIZ can attest!

 

I'm not an electronic engineer but a biochemist who works in oncology pharma, so it's all been a bit "self training" which is a key part of the game.
