Thread-topic: LF: MF Christmas CW bacon ?
Fantastic antenna, Clemens !

NDB signals peak more than 30dB over noise. Congratulations
Once you check how a good antenna works it is hard to come back to the one at
home ;-)

Thanks for sharing

Hi Louis,

>Clemens. Which antenna are u using ??
>Signal peaks S7 !!

It's a fullsize halfwave dipole (2x155m) in a horizontal 90°V-shape,but only
7-8m high.
It's fed with about 42m long mostly horizontal running balanced open wire line,
so the dipole is quite away from the local noise.
If I operate the dipole unbalanced as 8m vertical with an extensive top load
against mains ground
signals are about 10dB stronger at times (depending on qsb) but noise raises
also by 10-20dB.
However there are situations with deep qsb when I can read signals better in
vertical mode when
they disappear in dipole mode and vice versa.
