Actually, each station operator is using his own unique
home-grown setup:
Transmitters,
Andy: DDS with phase ramp, dedicated controller software
Domenico: GPS-locked SSB exciter, SpecLab tone with audio
ring mixer, ebnaut-tx with GPS time
Joe: OCXO-based DDS, XOR modulator, Arduino controller with
dedicated Software, HF time signal
Markus: Rubidium with decadic synthesizer, ring mixer,
ebnaut-tx with NTP
Receivers:
Andy: homemade GPS-synchroneous IQ sampler, dedicateed
capture software
Domenico: GPS-locked SSB Receiver, soundcard with SpecLab
opds FFT export, GPS samplerate tracking
Paul: direct-sampling fast ADC with GPS injection,
dedicated Linux software
Markus: Rb-locked SSB Receiver, soundcard with
SpecLab opds FFT export, Rb samplerate tracking.

At least with EbNaut nobody can complain that the operator
is
just installing the software and pressing 'start'. It does
seem like that with some modes: the computers are doing all
the
communicating and the operators are merely spectators.
Clearly
not the case here!
